A Few Asian Girls In Britain 1969
Amarjit Bhambra

The terrible twins,
They thought they could win,
Most English girls were out
Bullying Asian girls,
We did nothing wrong,
But our hearts were just as
strong,
Nothing put us off from coming
Back to school the next day.

We leant to use the old typewriter,
(Where one hits the carriage and
Start to type again),
We were learning fast,
Clever as we stand bilingual knowing two languages
And that was better than hearing one
Language plus the F...in hell and
F...in hell that,
Anyway come play time,
The abusing started against the
Asian girls.

Like there was these funny English
Twins,
One skinny and one that was fat,
The fat one came up to me,
And stood in front of me and said
"Do your know how to type",
To that she started the action
Of typing in front of me,
And before she was going to hit
The carriage (e.g. slapping me),
She got hit first,
l pulled a fast one and that was it,
She was going to gang up on me after
School,
Only if she was fast enough for me.
Her threats didnt get anywhere.
