Meaningful Things
Samantha Carter

Im settling in with those meaningful things
And theyre settling in with me.

The night rain on rooftops,
The wind in the trees,
And green grass under bare feet.

Piano on a summer night,
boats in the springtime harbor
strewn with cherry blossoms.

Waking up at dawn
to the vision of a cool breeze,
the stretch before a yawn.

Warm hands in the winter
Right by my side.
One hand on your leg.

All of these and more
I'd like to share with you
These meaningful things.
