I'm thirty nine, recently single again. I have two boys Cli' (pronounced clee) Real name Christopher and Mark. I'm a care in the community nurse and formerly (when I was married) an occupational Therapist working with the mentally ill on a secure unit. I love reading and writing and meeting people. I hate offal, seafood and intolerance. I keep dog, cat, polecats, rats and reptiles. And for seven years ran the second largest reptile sanctuary in Britain. Apart from having my lads, I think that's probably the most worthwhile thing I've ever done. Writing wise, I've been the main fiction writer for Legends magazine for three years. And have two books published 'Lizard's Leap' published by Quillusers, and 'Better the Devil You Know' soon to be released by Bestbooks.Um I drive a knackered old Astra, and ride a two litre trike. Find Me A Place
Sue (Sooz) Simpson

Find me a place where people can love without fear
Find me a place where the blind show the deaf how to hear
A place of soft edges that cushion the blows
A place where only the pleasant thoughts go

Where a heart will not break if its handled
Where a soul will not bleed if its torn
Where my spirit can reach out and touch
Where my feelings are lose to be born

Find me a place where roses grow thornlesss
Find me a place where no one lives homeless
Where an ivory tusk, is a thing of disgust
Where children are happy and safe

Find me a place thats for me alone,
Find me a place, I dont have to atone
Where I dont have to be
What they want me to be
Where I feel no shame about me

Show me a place where Im open and free
Show me a place where I can just be
A place that is mine to keep or to give
A place where its safe to breathe and to live
A place where rejection cant get through the door
A place that is free for the lost or the poor
Show me a place that is love
Is there a place that is love?
Find me a place

"Sooz, I like this poem very much. It reads to me as not only your voice, but also the voice of so many others and myself. If I were to find you a place, I would ask you to look within yourself and find your own relationship with your Creator. If you long for this ilk of world, it is your Creator's longing crying out from within you. Attune yourself to this cry and let everything of earthly value fall away, and there, in the midst of your silence, you will find this world as it has been inside you always, waiting to blossom. From here you will begin to find the ways to let others into your new life of bliss and the seeds of hope will fall from your hands, spreading love wherever you should journey." -- Branson Storm, TEXAS, USA.
"I think your review is far more beautiful than my poem, thank-you. I don't like this one, but I'm glad that you do. Still looking for my 'place' :-) Thanks." -- Sooz, Dalton, England, Cumbria.
"Sooz I too like this one and agree with Branson Storm. The sentiments expressed here are from the heart, but it is your spirit that is reaching out wanting to fill the void. The only place to find that kind of love, love that is unconditional and true is within your own sense of spirituality. This poem has "Agape" as it's theme, a universal longing expressed so beautifully with your words. For me this one is a solid ten. " -- Robert (Monte) Montesino, Hollywood, Florida, USA.
"Really? thanks Monte, and yet to me this is one of the pieces I least like. It's always the way that when I really dislike something there's always someone out there who likes it and when I've done something I'm really proud of and think 'Yep that's not bad' it goes down like a lead balloon. Thanks for liking it. " -- Sooz, Dalton-in-Furness, England, Cumbria.
"Yea, Really Sooz, I do! If I knew how to make one of those smiley face things with my computer, I would make one now for you!!!" -- Monte, USA.
"Thank you, for future reference :-) colon (or semi colon if you want a saucy wink) hypen open bracket ;-)" -- Sooz, Dalton-in-Furness, England, Cumbria.
"Olde Sergeis Review: Exquisite" -- Cam Davis.
"You are a man of few words my friend. Thank you. and thanks to Cam. " -- Sooz, Dalton-in-Furness, England, Cumbria.
