Walk Of Life
Swarnabha Dutta

If you think I am broken
Then let me tell you something
You never knew:
I once was a sailor, sailing across the sea.
With all my penny I built my Jenny.
Then one day He felt low,
So He Unleashed the fire down below.
My Jenny and I caught inside
The flood was strong and sky was dark.
My jenny, and I saw our last night, when
I saved my life my Jenny could not fight.
Then I left my trail and lost my trade.

If You think I am done
Then let me say, it's not the fact.
There is something you should know..

Then I built my house
Deep inside the woods.
There I had my land that I had sowed .
So I loved my land and hold it tight.

But one day He lit up his torch and sparked the wood
Then My castle was charred in the flame of the wood.
I was down on my heel when
My land was burned and home was down.

You may think It was the end.
But let me tell you
the story that you never heard of:

I stood up and walked some distant mile
I climbed the hills and found the line.
I had to breathe, I had to fight,
But I kept my place and stayed aligned.
Then I gave my limbs stretch I could
I curved the ground and got my - fruit.
But He was harsh and chances were bleak.
He shook the hills and earth felt quake .
It all so wrong I could not stand.

Now you believe I lost my stride
But it was not that kind,
So I add here the story that you should know.

It was long cold night with pain inside.
But I kept on crawling to have my hide.
I finally came in the land where I had my side!
I walked along and tried to ride
With all that I knew they seemed my kind.
But then one day I lost my trail and
all I could is staying behind.
I called for help to find my way
They smiled at me and pushed me back.
I tried to live but could not survive .
The tide was strong so I could not fight.

So do you think I am broken?
I tried many times then I deprived by my own, a battle was tough which I never won.
I may look like down and out
But I have my song and story that I only own!
