The Rain Wash Away The Pain
Saranjit Bhambra

l was walking in the rain,
l took one step at a time,
l had worries and l had pain,
l had a load upon my shoulders,
my clothes got wet,
and l had my regrets,
but the rain did not wash away
the dirt upon my clothes,
as l walked each step,
the water did not wash my soul clean...
l began to feel cold and shiver,
the rain it poured and poured...
the stream did not carry away the
load....
l was hungry and l thought for a
moment about my Lord.,
and l prayed, and prayed.,
the word of God,
made my soul clean,
and washed away the heavy load...
each step l took,
each breath l took,
the power of the Lord,
cleared the path clean for me....
