ABOUT
THE AUTHOR
To those who've seen my old description, I'm sure you'll be pleased to see a refreshing lack of arrogance. If you missed it, sucks to be you. I'm a free-lance writer and barrista from the Midwest. I'm still trying to get more of my poetry and fiction on here, so be patient. In the meantime, please post reviews; I love reading what you all think. Write me email too, I need new victims.. er... friends. As usual, welcome to my madness, and happy reading. [February 2003]

Free advice seldom comes cheap -his mantra Remembering this, she listens to the woman next to her Rambling on and on Saying he'd call if he was worth missing As she did She could feel him next to her, could forget Born out of time They'd say Day late and a dollar short They'd say Late He's not gone, she'd think Just long overdue Like the book they'd checked out -she couldn't return it Fines so high she owns it It's all she has Don't say good bye, say good journey Someone said Not her, not good Late, always late Not always, not then Stupid If he'd just, if she'd just Known She looks at her hands, sees his blood Her eyes, his pain Herself, his life For better or worse, she said Or for worst In sickness and health She'd have the memories, better and worse That night, they were both thieves He of her sanity She of his life Are you going to visit him? -asks the woman Something like that She replies Free advice is never free Everything has a price A piper to pay Now they both paid it; -one life, one death An eternity to remember And wonder Why?
