The salty smell of the ocean permeated the air. The sun shone brightly in the sky, kissing the earth with his rays. Seagulls performed an elaborate dance in the clear blue sky. Katrina sat on the pier watching the waves crash against the rocks below. She pushed a strand of her long blond hair out of her eyes and let out a contented sigh. Her bright green eyes scanned the crystal ocean waters in search of a particular boat coming in to harbor. After some time, her face beamed at the site of the boat in the horizon. An ache went through her legs and back and radiated from every part of her. She could barely contain the urge to run up to the docking port but she waited. 3 months away from each had already passed, 15 more minutes wouldnt hurt either of them. Her heart jumped as she saw him walk towards her. Shaffer Bartholomeu Anderson, the one and only man that she had ever given all of her self too. She smiled as she saw his infectious smile light up his face and as he stopped briefly to push a lock of his dark, wind swept hair away from his eyes. What began as an urgent walk towards the other turned into an all out run as the longing and desire of the last three months overcame the both of them like a freight train. They wrapped their arms around the other as tightly as possible just standing there for what seemed like an eternity just holding onto each other. Drinking in the smell of skin, reveling in the sensations that coursed through them from the others touch. Every night they had each dreamed of this moment, they had fantasized about the others touch, the others kiss. Sometimes, Karen stayed up half the night for wanting him to come home so desperately, and some nights Shaffer sat in his bed and watched the stars above him as floated along the great ocean, and he said a prayer asking the great gods to protect him and bring him home safely to his love. The overwhelming emotions that they felt at this moment rocked them to their very souls. Their embrace slowly eased and they sat for a while looking into each others eyes, letting them speak all of the things that neither of them could quite put into words. After a bit they fell back into the rhythm that came so naturally to them. They both started to speak at the same time and for both of them the last 3 months of being away from one another simply melted away and they picked up where they had left off. It was just Karen and Shaffer the way they always were. Happy, content, full of love and desire for one another. They walked down the pier hand in hand to Karens car, catching each other up on all of the things that had happened during their time apart. Karen told Shaffer funny stories about the local elders and the antics of the neighborhood kids. In a small fishing town like Ravenport, everybody knew everybody and for the most part where all like one big family. Shaffer told her stories of the last three months on the ocean and how he and his crew had braved terrible storms and waves. Noticing the worry and concern in her eyes, he changed the subject and told her how his youngest crewmember, Jason, would sit down at night and entertain them with stories and tall tales. Their conversation flowed as they walked along, neither eager to get anywhere, just content to be together once more. Eventually, they made it to Karens cherry red convertible. Even now after all this time, she remembered so clearly when Shaffer gave her the car. The morning of their 5th anniversary he woke her up just as the sun was beginning to rise. He picked her up in his strong, muscular arms and insisted that she close her eyes. She knew that she was being carried outside but had no idea why, until he placed her in the front seat of the car. More so than even the car was the look of shear adoration on his face when he handed her the keys. Pride had welled up within in her to the point she felt her heart might burst. She thanked him right then and there on the leather, ivory colored upholstery, and then it was her turn to give him her gift. They went back inside where she presented him with a beautiful silver pocket watch in which she had engraved the words, this watch like our love is timeless and forever. They proceeded this time to make slow, passionate love to one another on the cream and blue striped sofa. All of this passed through her mind in a matter of seconds but to her the memories where as real as if they had happened yesterday. They drove down the coast with the top down and the wind rushing through their hair, their hands interlinked, happy to feel the wind in their face and feel the energy that was always between them.

Karen pulled the car to a stop in front of a small white house. A flower garden grew in the front yard on the left; a vegetable garden on the right, small white picket fences surrounded both gardens and further added to the homes charm. They took their time getting out of the car, letting their minds go back to the first time they had seen this place. It was love at first sight, just as it had been when they met each other. They had not had lengthy discussions or debates, nor had they looked at several houses before making a decision. They somehow just knew. This was meant to be theirs and when they walked through the front door for the first time, the feeling of having come home instantly settled over both of them. Of course over time they had made improvements and adjustments to the place as they had settled in to their new lives but all in all the core of the place, its essence had never been touched. As they walked through the front door, they immediately headed towards their room. Shaffer didnt even bother to take his bags out of the car. He simply grabbed her hand and led her to the place that he had been dreaming about for the last 90 days. As they kissed, sparks went off between them. Rushes of sensations touched ever part of them and they both felt alive, electric with passion and desire. He impatiently pulled her flower print dress over her head as she was unbuttoning his shirt. They helped each other undress, desperate to feel the sweet touch of skin underneath their fabric prisons. Their hearts beat faster and their breathing became more intense. Once naked, Shaffer grabbed her and lifted her legs around his waist. He pushed her up against the wall and held her there, looking into her eyes as he kissed her, smelling the sweet musky scent of excitement that radiated from her pores. Her hands grabbed at his hair as she brought her lips down to his ear and softly kissed it. She sent chills down his spine every time she did this and she knew it as well as he did. She enjoyed making goose bumps form on his arms and watching the desire that flicked in his eyes. Her tongue trailed down his face, tasting his skin, drinking in the salty sweat that now covered him. They stood up against the wall, painfully teasing one another, making each more, more excited with every passing minute. Shaffer guided her hips down to enter her completely, a sigh escaped her lips and he felt like he would explode from the shear intensity and pleasure that coursed through him. He took it slow, wanting Karen to feel the same intensity that rocked his body. The noises that escaped from his lips were all the proof he needed that she was feeling the same. She began to rock her hips faster, encouraging him to further take control of the situation. Their movements were excited, frenzied and Karen was grateful for the cold smooth feel of the wall that helped to relieve some of the heat from her skin. Shaffer moved them towards the bed; both still locked inside the other and pushed her on her back. He released himself from her and allowed his mouth to drink in every part of her. Her back arched in anticipation and her hands gripped the sheets so tightly that her knuckles turned white. Her excitement gave him further incentive and he didnt stop until he was satisfied that she had reached the peak of excitement; he then entered her again, reveling in the smoothness and warmth of her body. They where rough, gentle, fast, slow. It didnt matter what he did, she always rose to meet him beat for beat. Their bodies sang an intimate tune that had no real lyrics only motions. Karen used her legs to reverse their momentum and now she was the one in charge. She afforded him the same courtesy that he had so readily give to her just a short while ago. Her eyes sparkling with merriment at the sensations that she knew she was creating. She was the Goddess brought to female form, giving and receiving of love and pleasure. Her body spoke a language older than time itself and her eyes where conduits of an ancient energy. They went through hours of experimenting until finally, towards the wee hours of the night, they lay there, exhausted, emotionally and physically but happier than either of them had been in months. They both knew that he was due out again in a week, but at least for the next week, their souls and hearts would once again be whole and complete. They looked at each other and smiled. Karen laid her head in the crook of his arm and soon they both fell asleep. Next week would come soon enough, but for now, they wou
