You Don't Know What You're Doing (Or Why You're Still Fat) by Robert Levin (1)
"Well written and candidly unveils predictable human behavior. One of the reasons so many people fail at this game is because when they (especially women) achieve 90% or even 100% of their goal, they expect to look magnificent to others. Truth is, many look sickly and "different" to the point that we are not all that impressed, even though we pretend to be. Let's face it, a fat, ugly woman who loses 60 pounds has now become just another ugly woman." -- Richard.

Visual Mind by Wanderer Bass (4)
"For a young kid, you really have a lot of issues. Although you write fairly well, everything wreaks with your obsession for revenge and hatred. How do you ever expect to live a happy, normal life . The answer is you probably don't. We all have our demons but you seem to like to hang out with them more than other people. " -- Lester.
"Keep up the good work, and what's your point, Lester? At least Wanderer is the one expressing." -- Matt.
"I think Lester's honesty is exactly what is needed around here. Go back and read it again Matt. The point is quite clear. At least Lester takes the time to review and give constructive criticism. Keep up the good work Lester. Bass if you are serious about your writing then you will pay attention to what Lester is saying. " -- Mayer.
"Blood, lots of blood. blood, blood, blood, yay! " -- Zizzifoot.

"OMG HOW CRAP!! LAMEEOOOO GIVE UP!" -- Aimee Friedland.

Talking In Circles by Jordan Holetzky (2)
"OMG I hope you don't think you are philosophical 'cause that is just lame and crap and a 5 year old has more insight than you." -- Aimee Friedland.
"Im walking with Charlize Theron at an International Film Festival in Cape Town. Im so glad to be back home, she says, it seems like no one understands my accent wherever else I go. I understand. She grabs me by the hand. I read your LiveJournal, she continues, hushed. Oh. I thought, maybe I could be the one to show you what its like with a girl. OhI I have some time before I have to go on stage. I know a place Ok. Suddenly I feel my body pressed against hers, hands flickering each way, she kisses my lips I kiss hers. I open my eyes and we are in a small, wooden confessional box. Charlize has transformed into a middle-aged man with coke-bottle glasses, a grey five oclock shadow, and messy hair. I give him a long, passionate kiss goodbye, and I discretely exit the box and go off to find Cyril. * I wake up at 10.53 AM in an empty apartment with the computer on. I look out the window and there is fresh snow. I write." -- Aimee Friedland.

Nothing Can Get Worse by Jordan Holetzky (1)
"What a piece of Crap! Jesus!" -- Aimee Friedland.

Martin Luther King Jr. by ODonnellJJao (1)
"Your essay, although well written, sounds like a copy job from any number of sources which contain flattering biographies of MLK. However, you have neglected to include some important truths about the man which can be found in many other factual biographies and accounts of his personal life. In your last paragraph, ......"We can see that he not only preached, but lived his ideals."....This statement is hard to support when you consider the overwhelming evidence that he was in fact, a womanizer and adulterer. Though the theme of his entire movement was non-violence, he himself, was at times violent, especially to women and even to some of his close friends and associates. Despite these facts, our Congress has seen fit to dedicate a national holiday to this man. The power of politics has no limit. " -- Richard.

Especially For You, Beautiful One by Hannibal Kildare (3)
"not bad for a beginner but your pseudonym is a little weird, one bad doctor one good doctor lol. " -- Selma.
"I like your poem. It shows how much you love her or him. Yeh, you didn't do too bad." -- Peaches, Toronto.
"simple but i think it's beautifully expressed." -- Dream, USA.

Questions And Answers About Islam by Wael El-Manzalawy (1)
"One Question, who sells all these warplanes ect., to these countries and than don't expect them to us them? And when war breaks out in these countries who goes to the rescues like heros on this plant? Your guess is as good as mine. High leaders, big money, expensive war planes, Big mouths, big heros. Does it all ring a bell. " -- Tim, Auckland, New Zealand.

Islam by Wael El-Manzalawy (4)
"I have read about the Islamic point a view but then I look and see all that stuff in Palestine and what parents are teaching their children sending them to Paradise camps and slicing their heads open with knives and stuff like that sacraficing yourself for Allah.. That cant be what God wants...??? Of course its better to believe in god or Allah or Dios or whatever it is then to think there is nothing there! Good work!" -- Alyssa, Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.
"Hi Alyssa, Palestine is occupyed and we have the right to defend our land and ourselves. What you say about slicing childern`s heads open with knives is against Islam. Islam does not allow anyone to do this." -- Wael El-Manzalawy, Egypt.
"oh alright its just that when you google palestine children all you see is blood and death and stuff like that and when you google islamic children you see three year olds holding AK-47S that shit aint rite. Its great that you guys want to defend your land and yourself but you could do it in a diffrent way right...i mean why kill the children what have they done" -- Alyssa, Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico.
"The Qur'an says: "Fight and slay the pagans [Christians] wherever ye find them and seize them, confine them, and lie in wait for them in every place of ambush" (Surah 9:5) religion of peace? i dont think so.Hadith 9:50, 57 "No Umma (a member of Muslim community) should be killed for killing a Kafir (an infidel). . Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him." " -- Luke.

Harrassment by Wanderer Bass (4)
"I totally agree with you ... I see the way people look down on us because were Hispanic...It aint cool it cool to be made fun of either because of what nationality you are...Stick up for youself man...Only god can judge you not the losers you meet in high school or in college" -- Janisa, San Piedra, Puerto Rico.
"This is some powerful stuff right there. I agree with Janisa, stick up for yourself. You just totally rock. " -- Matt.
"Apparently you are addressing your classmates with this anger- motivated diatribe. Why post such a piece on this site? Who gives a fuck about the rantings of a paranoid dork like yourself? You act like you're the last remaining Jewish descendent of ancestors persecuted during the Holocaust? Give us all a break. Try to write something we never heard before. " -- Lester.
"I've glanced at all your essays and you seem to really loathe your classmates. Im sure you have your reasons but I believe you should focus on more important issues. Forget the people from your school, dont be bothered about them. After all its not like they give you anything moreover you should write stuff that really goes deep. I'm sure your really talented so dont' pay attention to them and try to be a little more objective when you write." -- Tanya, Puerto .

Importance Of The First Amendment by Jordan Holetzky (1)
"Nicely expressed, Jordan. There are many people including some Supreme Court justices, who need a civics refresher course. Note, nowhere in that first paragraph is the "separation of churh and state" mentioned. Many people like to interpret the pharse "Copngress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion" to mean a toal separation of symbols and even prayer from all public institutions. This is not what this amendment states. Permitting religious symbols in and around public buildings as well as voluntary prayer in public classrooms does not constitute "establishing a religion." There are no laws forcing anyone to recognize any religion. If the majority of people are of Christian faith, it is quite natural that they would want to see symbols of their faith displayed at Christmas, and Easter holidays. How can this be offensive, even if you're an atheist? " -- Richard.

Don't Be Obsessive by Wanderer Bass (1)
"i agree with this. people are taking this "gangsta" role play thing too far." -- chad naquin.

Discuss The Ways In Which Director, Jospeh Losey, May Be Said To Have Authored Anxiety In His Film The Servant (1963), Paying Particular Attention To Mirrors And Lenses In The Film. by ChristoD (1)

What Is Smart by Stormy The Writer (1)
"Before you embark on any further philosophical writings, I suggest you take the time to research your subject by reading one fundamental source of knowledge, namely the dictionary. The English language contains more synonyms than any other language. "Smart" is a very generalized word often used as a synonym for intelligence. There are many other synonyms for smart such as knowledgeable, clever, witty, adroit, bright, shrewd, cunning, etc. Most of these words have slightly different meanings but they all pertain to either the intellect or behavior(such as style of dress) of humans and sometimes animals. To apply the word smart to an inanimate object like a mountain or a pebble, as you did, would seem appropriate only if it were used in a metaphor found in a poem. I know you are a teenager who likes to write and I applaud you for that, but don't let your writing ambitions get ahead of your responsibility to research the subject matter you write about. Otherwise, your finished product will come out a bit silly, like this one. " -- Richard.

The Differences Of Love by Jordan Holetzky (4)
"well... i wanted to point out a few things about what you wrote... i too am a believer of God and his son... yes the difference between Gods love and our love are two different thigs... thought i do believe that as his children we can learn the ways of His love... in this essay i could see the point that you were trying to get across though... i don't believe that everyone else would undersand it as the same..yes, Jesus did suffer a horrible death, but when explaining to those who don't know the story... "how is that supposed to show love"... i'm sorry i'm having a hard time getting the piont out right... lol... i know from expereinse, and from my friends that reading this dosn't scream "God take me as yours now" at the end of what you wrote you urge poeple to go to church, i know that i will never "be a member" of a church ever again... because of the hurt that is caused in so many places that men call God's house... yes you can learn a lot from "church" but i know that a lot of poeple turn from God becuse of having to deal with man's church... we are the body of Christ! and the poeple of God are the Church... church isn't a building with 4 walls... there's so much to say that i know i can't and i don't even know if you're even going to want to listen to what i say... i'm not trying to bring you down or anything.. so please don't take affence to anything that i wrote..if you want to talk about you can always e-mail me... though for some reason it's not letting me write it down in this review...lol so you can look me you.. it should be there" -- Carla Thomson.
"i had a few type o's... lol just look me up... and don't forget your smile... hope to talk to you soon" -- Carla Thomson.
"I really respect your opinion in this I was hoping someone would leave a comment...it depends on what church you go to some are just scams and stuff like that and there are some real good churches...and this is just telling the difference of God's awesome love and our simple love but hey email me anytime if you want to talk more" -- Jordan.
"The real love of God is in everyones heart, you do not have to go far to find him. With regards of going to church, be it temples etc.,I think respect comes in here - it how you want to respect your religion etc.- my father taught us to go to places of worship - which l think is most important for our children too (they learn from their parents). This is how we should keep the word of God alive - through our children. We should learn from past mistakes, Christ died for our sins -and not to forget that he asked God to forgave the people who tortured him. We need people like you to continue to write -- Respect and love to you all and God bless. " -- Amy, Hayes, UK.

The Christ In The Holy Quran by Wael El-Manzalawy (1)
"To read the body of the article, please click the title "The Christ In The Holy Quran " above and the body of the article will appear in the next page." -- www.

Pick Up Lines by Jordan Holetzky (1)
"Hard to believe guys actually use the lame lines you describe. I never had to use any lines. I could tell just by the way a girl looked at me if she was interested. (and most of them were) Although, for the fun of it, I would occasionally act shy and tell a girl I was home visiting, on leave from the seminary. Within minutes, I would have several curious pretty things around me. When they found out I made it up however, their interest often turned to rage. So I didn't pull that too many times. That was long ago, but thanks for helping me to remember. " -- Richard.

Do The Deed, Legalize Weed by Dylan Barbour (4)
"Dylan's telling it like it is!!!! Fuck yeah" -- kwilt.
"I not sure where I stand on issue but I do think adults should be responsible for their own choose. like if the drug turns you into thief and you break in someone house and owner shots you then I don't think the owner should be lieable for injury." -- Bug off.
"Im walking with Charlize Theron at an International Film Festival in Cape Town. Im so glad to be back home, she says, it seems like no one understands my accent wherever else I go. I understand. "Hey airhead, I'm going to speak to you in your language. Out side of the small amount of users for true, ligitimate medical reasons, the remaining vast majority smoke it to get high. No shit_- right? Think of all the stupid parents who would be sitting there stoned while there kids were being scalded in a hot bathtup or drowning in a swimming pool. Think of the increased potential for car accidents caused by stoned drivers driving the wrong way on one-way streets, speeding, killing thousands of people, some who are also stoned on grass. People smoke to GET HIGH? When people are high they do STUPID THINGS like commit crimes, kill people, kill themselves, etc. I have a compromise solution. Let's legalize marujuana but let's also pass a simultaneous law that any person under the influence of marijuana who is convicted of a felony shall receive the death sentence, no prison time, no parole, nothing else. Blow his fucking brains out - period. " -- Lester.

911 And Iraq by O'donnell (1)

"funny, clever....i love it" -- kwilt.

Hiking To Higher Heights by Chris K Sexton (1)
"Although you have succeeded in making your point, I'd like to think that your previous English courses would have taught you how to make it in fewer words and perhaps more paragraphs. As far as reading between the lines, I prefer to write less mysteriously. My short stories are fairly straightforward, with easily identifiable plots as I try to lead the readers on, keeping their interest until I hit 'em with a real twist of an ending. My essays are usually intended to refute or debunk some commonly held opinions or myths. I didn't sense a clear distinction as to whether you were referring to fiction or non-fiction, or both, in your essay. I write fiction strictly to entertain, avoiding any hint of a particular ideology or bias of my own. I write non-fiction on the other hand, to inform readers, offering support for my conclusions with documented facts and expert opinion. Now if you're referring to stories written by today's jounalists, who purport to be objective, you will almost always find something to read between the lines. " -- Richard.

When I Tried To Run Away From My Fears... by Innovant Deis (2)
"The story is interesting and allowed me to learn a lesson without experiencing it myself." -- Vivien Lim, Woodlands, Singapore, -NIL-.

Socialism The Cornerstone Of America by Louise Friedman (6)
"Have you ever heard the quote "All animals are created equal, but some are more equal than other"? It is out of a text called Animal Farm, by George Orwell, a very poignient text and if you haven't read it you should perhaps endevour to do so. Both Socialism and the capitalism that you talk about are the two extremes of politics and unfortunatly both can not exist in the same society at the same time, as they are the opposites. As, if you read the communist manifesto then you will find that whilst there is the class of the bourgeoisie the proletariet is being exploited. However it is good to see such an intellectual peice being posted on this site. Thank you for writing it and if you could reply to this i would be very appreciative. Peace. ps i would rather have a socialist government than a facist." -- Hugh, Australia.
"jonny" -- jonny, jonny, jonny, jonny.
"I can't say this piece is not well written, however, most of it is re-hashed unadulterated bullshit. You say Europe, Scandinavia and Canada are thriving under socialism? What the fuck have you been reading lately? Go live there if you really believe that. Hope you do well. " -- Richard.
"jonny144" -- jonny734, jonny598, jonny117, jonny503.
"Keep on writing" -- Colin Baker.
"I think Richard said all I could say about this piece. Being curious however, I found your bio in the authors' section and that pretty much explains you. I give you credit for admitting how far left you are. Most liberals are too cowardly to admit to being so. I once went out with a woman like you years ago. We got into such a heated argument, I excused myself by saying I had to go to the john and never returned to our table, leaving her to pay the check. There is a dirty little secret about crazy leftist women who were weaned in the sixties and seventies. When they get into their southpaw rants, their adrenaline kicks in and they begin to perspire and secrete, releasing an unpleasant odor emanating from their genital area. Unfortunately, they can't smell it but it is particularly repulsive to conservative men. Liberal men don't seem to mind it. Obviously, they've become used to it. " -- Lester.

I Stare Out Of The Window by Vera Marbrylouch (3)
"what a beautiful story, loved how you kept it light with the lines about grey hair and hearing. nice to pass the world and it's mysteries on to the little ones huh?" -- curious.
"Am pressure card bust plug and play texas hold em. " -- texas hold em, texas hold em, texas hold em, texas hold em.
"A nice little piece you've put together here. You're lucky to have someone so young to help you see things through her eyes. It's been many years since my daughter was young. I look out my window and see more ugliness than beauty because I have no young one's eyes to help me see more. The greatest treasure found among innocent youth is anticipation. It isn't the aging body and waning eyesight that bother me most, it's finding something to fill me with anticipation." -- Richard.

Baby Talk by Glendora Rider (3)
"Bush rules " -- Hayden.
"liked this a bunch - well except for the political ending which seemed to be put in just to be there, but writers choice huh? i just noticed, lots of small words, hummmm." -- curious.

What If Everything Hurts? by LearyS (1)
"Shannon, everything does hurt, and never goes away. It is how we deal with the past that makes us grow. Accepting what we have changed to better ourselves, forgiving the rest. It is a daily struggle that gets better with time. We are all looking, seeking the brass ring that is just a bit out of reach. Keep the faith, good things are on their way." -- Prudy.
